Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 50 g butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- ½ liter of milk
- 200 g cheese
- salt and pepper
- 2 onions
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 500 g minced meat, mixed
- 1 bunch of soup vegetables
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp thyme
- 250 g lasagna sheet(s)
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
For the béchamel sauce, heat the butter and sauté the flour. Gradually add milk. Simmer for a good 15 minutes. Then stir in some cheese. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Peel and finely chop the onions and sauté in the oil until softened. Add the minced meat and fry until crumbly, stirring constantly. Trim and finely chop the soup vegetables and add to the minced meat. Stir in the tomato paste. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Season generously with thyme, salt, and pepper. Grease a baking dish and line with lasagna sheets (make sure the sheets don’t need to be pre-cooked). Layer the minced meat, pasta sheets, and béchamel sauce. Grate the cheese and sprinkle over the top. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approximately 20–30 minutes. Serve immediately.
