Cream sauce with asparagus and dumplings

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g asparagus, green
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 200 g Bratwurst, fine, uncooked
  • 5 tbsp white wine
  • 400 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 100 ml whipped cream
  • 20 g Parmesan cheese
  • Pepper, white
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Wash the asparagus. Trim the ends and slice the asparagus. Peel and dice the onion. Heat the butter. Press the sausage meat into the pan to form small balls and fry. Add the asparagus slices and diced onion and fry briefly. Deglaze with the white wine and stock. Bring to a boil and simmer for 6-8 minutes. Stir the flour into the cream, thicken the sauce, and simmer for about 5 minutes. Season to taste and grate the Parmesan cheese over the top. Serve with pasta.
