Melon mousse

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 honeydew melon(s), approx. 800 g
  • 250 g powdered sugar
  • 9 sheets of gelatin
  • 2 lemon(s), the juice
  • 600 g cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 15 minutes

Melon mousse, sweet dessert

Peel, deseed, and cut the melon into pieces. Purée with a hand blender, add the sugar, and mix. Soak the gelatin in cold water, squeeze it out, and dissolve it in the lemon juice. Mix with the melon puree. Chill the mixture for a few hours. Once set, stir thoroughly with a hand mixer. Whip the cream until stiff and carefully fold it into the mixture. The mousse can be scooped into balls and served on plates or layered in a glass.
