Alsatian schnitzel

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g pork loin(s) or pork fillet, sliced ​​(turkey or chicken will also work)
  • 120 g sour cream or crème fraîche
  • 120 g diced ham, raw
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 40 g grated cheese (possibly reduced-fat)
  • 2 tsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Season the schnitzels and fry briefly in oil. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Place the meat in an ovenproof dish and spread with sour cream (or crème fraîche if you prefer it creamier). Slice the onion into rings and arrange the schnitzels along with the diced ham. Finally, sprinkle everything with some cheese. # Place in the hot oven for about 10 minutes, until the cheese has melted. Serve with baked potatoes (if the oven is on anyway) or pasta with cream sauce.
