Grandma's carrot soup

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g carrot(s)
  • 200 g potatoes
  • 50 g ham, streaky (or bacon if desired)
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth, granulated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the carrots and potatoes, dice them into small cubes, and place them in a saucepan. Fill the pan with enough water to completely cover the carrots and potatoes. Stir in a heaped teaspoon of vegetable stock and bring the soup to a boil. Dice the ham, onions, and garlic. First, brown the ham in a pan, then add the onions and garlic a little later and sauté. Pour the mixture into the pan and simmer for another 20 minutes. Finally, puree the soup with a hand blender and serve.
