Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 beetroots, cooked, grated into wide strips
- 1 onion(s), finely diced
- rapeseed oil
- 1 clove(s), ground or crushed
- salt and pepper
- Sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar (raspberry vinegar)
- possibly caraway, ground pepper
- 1 bay leaf

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
warm side dish to game or beef
Sauté the onion in a little oil, add a little sugar, and let it caramelize slightly. Deglaze with the raspberry vinegar. Add the beetroot and heat gently. Season to taste with salt, pepper, the ground cloves/clove powder, and, if desired, the ground caraway seeds. If you like, you can also add a bay leaf while heating.
