Form the ingredients into a dough, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for half an hour. Knead the dough again, roll it out to about a finger’s thickness, and cut into sticks of any size. Finger width and length are a good measure. Place the cut sticks on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, brush them thinly with beaten egg yolk, and sprinkle with poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and/or caraway seeds, for example. Bake at 130°C (convection oven) for about 30 minutes.
