Banana fritta

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 bananas, very ripe
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • some water
  • some powdered sugar or brown sugar
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Jamaican dessert

Mash the bananas with a fork in a bowl. Then mix the banana puree with the flour. Stir in the salt and brown sugar. If the batter is still too thick, add a little water. It should be viscous and drop from the spoon with difficulty. Add the batter, tablespoon at a time, to a pan with hot oil and fry for one to two minutes on each side until golden brown. Dust the finished “frittas” with powdered sugar or sprinkle with brown sugar, if desired.
