Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork schnitzel (or loin), cut into strips
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, cut into fine strips
  • 100 g mushrooms, cut into strips
  • 1 red bell pepper(s), cut into fine strips
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green, cut into fine strips
  • 100 g soy sprouts
  • 100 g bamboo shoots
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

Place the pork in a bowl with 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of pepper. Mix everything together and let it simmer for 1 hour. Heat the oil in a pan and brown the meat. Remove from the oil, keep warm, and fry the finely sliced ​​vegetables, bean sprouts, and bamboo shoots in the oil. Stir in the tomato paste and soy sauce. Mix the broth and cornstarch to thicken the vegetables. Finally, add the meat back in. Season with salt and pepper and reheat. Serve with rice or glass noodles as a side dish.
