Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g tomatoes
  • 200 g horseradish
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 100 ml sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Sauce made from fresh tomatoes and horseradish

Wash and quarter the tomatoes. Peel and wash the horseradish and coarsely grate it. Peel the garlic (if you don’t like garlic, you can omit it). Wash the bell pepper, remove the core, and quarter it. Blend everything in a blender until medium-fine. Add sunflower oil, sugar, and salt, adding more to taste. Mix well. Let stand at room temperature for one day, then mix again. Kobra can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 2 months if sealed. It goes well with all kinds of potato dishes, pasta, fried eggs, and scrambled eggs.
