Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g sugar snap peas, tips cut off
  • 1 bunch of spring onions, roughly chopped
  • 1 small lettuce, torn
  • 100 g bacon, roughly diced
  • 50 g butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper, white, from the mill
  • Sugar
  • Cress for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Wash and drain the vegetables. Brown the bacon in butter in a large pot, add the onions, lettuce, and peas, season with salt, pepper, and sugar, and simmer covered for about 10 minutes over low heat. Season to taste and serve sprinkled with cress.
