Peanut soup

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 140 g peanuts, roasted
  • 140 ml chicken broth
  • 70 ml cream
  • 70 ml milk
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 2 tbsp, heaped chives, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Soup of the settlers from the southeastern USA

Crush and finely chop the peanuts. Combine with the broth, cream, and milk in a saucepan and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Then simmer gently for another 15 minutes. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper. If desired, thicken the soup slightly. Serve in a plate or soup bowl and garnish with the chives.
