Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 80 g butter, in pieces
  • 200 g chocolate, in small pieces
  • 165 g brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 g flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 30 g nuts (pecans)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

based on a French recipe “Brownies au chocolat et aux noix de pecan”, makes 8 pieces.

First, preheat the oven to 200°C, then grease the cups of a muffin tin. Cream the butter in a bowl until creamy. Slowly melt 150g of the chocolate in a saucepan and let it cool for 5 minutes. Mix the melted chocolate with the eggs, butter, vanilla extract, flour, and cocoa powder, one at a time. Fold in the remaining chocolate pieces. Pour the batter into the muffin tin and sprinkle with pecans. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes using conventional heat. Serve warm; this tastes best, as the chocolate pieces are still liquid inside.
