Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 150 g wheat flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 tbsp rum
- Fat, for frying
- Salt
- powdered sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
East Frisian pastry
Place the flour in a bowl along with the eggs, add the rum and a pinch of salt, and knead everything into a smooth dough. Cover and let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Then, roll out thin 15 cm long dough strands, gently fold them together, and fry them in hot oil. Finally, sprinkle the pastry with a little powdered sugar.
