Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g chocolate (dark)
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 375 ml coffee, strong or espresso
  • 125 ml whiskey
  • 200 g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g brown sugar
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 160°C. Grease a square baking pan (24 x 24 cm) with butter. Roughly chop the chocolate coating and melt it in a water bath over low heat. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl and mix with salt and vanilla sugar. Mix the cold espresso and whiskey. Cream the butter with the eggs and sugar until fluffy. Stir in the melted chocolate coating. Alternately add the espresso and flour. Pour the batter into the greased pan, smooth it down, and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes. Once cooled, cut into 4 x 4 cm squares and dust with powdered sugar.
