Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion(s), very finely chopped
  • 1 small can of tomato paste
  • ¾ liter of water
  • 1 tsp Sambal Oelek, or more
  • 200 g peanut cream (pindakaas)
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Ghana

Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, and fry until translucent. Deglaze with water. Stir in salt, sambal oelek, and tomato paste. Bring to a boil briefly. Remove from the heat. Stir in pindakaas. Add to the heat. Bring to a boil while stirring. The sauce is very thick, so be careful with the bubbling; I’ve already gotten some blisters on my hand.
