Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 6 pork chops

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Preheat the oven to 175°C (bottom heat if possible, otherwise top/bottom heat). In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oil, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, ketchup, and brown sugar. Place the chops in a roasting pan and brush with half of the sauce. Place the chops in the oven and bake for 30 minutes. Then turn them over, brush with the remaining sauce, and bake for another 30 minutes. Remove the chops from the oven, place them on plates, and serve. Serve with French fries, wedges, and vegetables. Rice also goes well, but double the sauce and divide the amount, setting one half aside. Heat this just before serving and pour it over the rice.
