Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork steaks
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • some oil or vegetable cream
  • some pepper
  • 6 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • some paprika powder
  • some mustard, medium hot
  • 1 gherkin(s)
  • 4 tomatoes
  • some parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash the tomatoes, pat dry, make a cross-shaped incision, pour hot water over them, and set aside. Slice the gherkin. For the sauce, combine the oil and ketchup, then add the paprika, pepper, and mustard and stir until smooth. Set aside until ready to serve. Wash the steaks and pat dry with kitchen paper. Brush with oil, salt, and pepper. Place in a hot pan and fry for about 10 minutes on each side until browned, then remove from the pan. Place a dollop of sauce on each steak and serve garnished with the tomato pieces, gherkin, and parsley. Serve the remaining sauce separately. Be sure to serve with French fries and a green salad!
