Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 4 bell peppers, colored
  • 3 pairs of bratwurst, fine
  • 3 pairs of bratwurst, coarse
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • Vinegar
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Mustard
  • Sugar

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Franconian, hearty, quick to prepare

Fry the sausages in a pan, then let them cool, then slice them. Wash the bell peppers, deseed them, quarter them, and slice them into thin strips. Peel the onion, quarter it, and also slice it into thin strips. Place everything in a bowl with the sausages. Now make a marinade from the above ingredients. Season to taste and pour it over the sausage, bell pepper, and onion mixture, stirring well. Let it marinate well until ready to serve—ideally overnight.
