Bavarian sausage salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g Lyoner, plain
  • 2 onions
  • 6 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 5 g sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Remove the skin from the Lyoner sausage and slice the sausage. Peel the onions and slice them into rings, not too thick. Combine both ingredients in a salad bowl. Mix together a spicy marinade from oil, white wine vinegar, freshly ground pepper, salt, and a pinch of sugar. Pour over the Bavarian sausage salad, mix briefly, and let it sit, covered, in the refrigerator for at least 30-45 minutes. Garnish with finely chopped chives just before serving. Serve with fresh pretzels or farmhouse bread and a cold beer. Approx. 488 kcal per serving.
