Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 100 g butter
- 150 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 lemon(s), the peel
- 1 pinch of salt
- 125 g flour
- 75 g cornstarch
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 40 g butter
- 50 g sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 750 g apples, sour
- 50 g walnuts, halves

a variation of the French classic
Cream the butter until fluffy, then add the sugar and eggs one at a time. Combine the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder and stir in. Line a tart or springform pan with baking paper. Combine the melted butter, cinnamon, and sugar and spread it on the paper. Peel the apples and core them with an apple corer. Cut the apples into rings, place them on the paper, and line the spaces with nuts. Spread the batter over the apples and bake at 180-200°C for about 40 minutes. After baking, let the cake cool slightly and then turn it out onto a wire rack.
