Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 150 g wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar, heaped
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract, level
  • 1 package of chocolate (chocolate drops)
  • some oil, e.g. sunflower oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Melt the butter in the microwave or in a saucepan on the stovetop. Add the milk, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter and whisk until smooth. Then add the butter mixture to the bowl with the dry ingredients and whisk until well blended. The batter should not be too runny. Add a little more flour if needed. Heat a pan on the stovetop. When it’s warm, add a little oil and spread it with a brush. Using a ladle, form small pancakes and sprinkle with chocolate chips. When small bubbles form and burst, flip the pancakes and cook on the other side until light golden brown. Maple syrup goes well with this. You can of course use other ingredients such as blueberries, chopped nuts, or raisins instead of or in addition to the chocolate chips.
