Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 packs of cheese, hand cheese (roll)
- 4 m.-sized onion(s)
- some oil (sunflower oil)
- some sweet paprika powder
- some pepper
- 3 dashes of apple cider
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 20 minutes
Handkäs with music and paprika
Cut the Handkäse into slices about 0.5 centimeters thick and dice the onions. Pour a little oil into a sealable bowl to cover the bottom and sprinkle in more onions to cover the bottom. Sprinkle a little paprika over the top and arrange the first layer of Handkäse on top. Then add a little more oil, onions, and paprika, then the next layer of Handkäse. Continue in this manner. If desired, you can also add a little pepper to the layers. The same goes for apple wine. Cover and leave to marinate in the refrigerator overnight, or at room temperature for a few hours. Serve with fresh farmhouse bread and butter, and ideally apple wine.
