Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 200 g cheese, hand cheese, e.g. Harzer
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Peel and finely dice the onion. Sauté the diced onion in the oil until translucent (do not brown). Drain the oil. Stir the sour cream (optionally with a little water or sweet cream) until creamy. Add the diced onion to the sour cream. Season with salt, cayenne pepper, and mild paprika. Dice the cheese and cover with the sour cream. Let the whole thing sit in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours (the longer it sits, the spicier it will be). Serve with fresh, buttered farmhouse bread and a cool blonde beer.
