Apricot jam with vanilla

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg apricot(s), fresh
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • 500 g gelling sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 dash of lemon juice
  • 1 pinch of salt

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

For my apricot jam, I boil 1 kg of washed and pitted apricots or apricots with a vanilla pod in 1.5 liters of water until soft. They are not peeled. Then I remove the vanilla pod, add cinnamon, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt, and quickly cook everything with the preserving sugar according to the package instructions, stirring constantly. Test for setting. Fill hot, rinsed jars with the mixture and screw on the lids. Immediately turn upside down.
