Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 small head of white cabbage
  • broth
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper, white
  • nutmeg, fresh
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Remove the outer leaves from the white cabbage, cut into eighths, and cut into thin strips. Place in a pot and pour in the broth, just enough to cover. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Then pour in the milk and simmer for another 15 minutes. Then knead the butter and flour to thicken the liquid. Season to taste with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and a pinch of sugar. Serve with simple boiled potatoes and meatballs.
