Using a garlic press, add an onion to the cream cheese and season with salt and pepper. I let it sit for a day, otherwise it’s quite spicy. Cut the other onion into strips and coat with 1 teaspoon of salt; this draws out the water from the onion. Let it stand for five minutes. In the meantime, heat a large amount of oil in a pan. Coat the onion strips in flour and then shake them in a colander to remove any excess flour. Fry in the hot oil until they are nicely browned. Drain the onion strips on kitchen paper. Cut the hand cheese into slices down the middle, spread with the cream cheese, and put them back together. Now roll them in the fried onions until the sides are evenly coated. Spread the remaining cream cheese on top and decorate with edible flowers, if desired. 150 kcal per serving.
