Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 bag of Emmental cheese, grated (approx. 200 g)
  • 1 spring onion(s)
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 large pickle(s)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 roll(s), stale, alternatively breadcrumbs
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • Parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 small butter cheese (Babybel), optional as filling

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Slice the spring onion and finely chop the pickle. Mash the garlic clove, and finely chop and soften the old bread roll (if you have a bread slicer, it’s ideal for this). If using fresh parsley, finely chop it as well. Mix everything in a bowl with the grated Emmental cheese, egg, ground beef, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into patties. If desired, you can add a Babybel cheese sliced ​​in half lengthwise. Fry in a pan over high heat until one side is nicely browned, then flip and fry the other side until crispy and browned. This goes well with mashed potatoes or potato salad.
