Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 cup(s) milk
  • ¼ cup(s) oil
  • 1 cup(s) flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup(s) corn flour
  • ½ cup(s) mashed potato powder (instant)
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cornbread

Preheat oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Grease a cake pan. Whisk together the egg, milk, and oil. In another bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Then add the egg mixture and mix thoroughly. Pour the batter into the pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until golden brown. Test: When the batter is done, a toothpick inserted into the center no longer sticks to the batter. One cup holds approximately 200-250 ml.
