Swabian Maultaschen, fried

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 large onion(s), finely chopped
  • 3 Maultasche(n), Swabian
  • 1 mozzarella

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

This recipe is ideal for quickly and easily enjoying Swabian cuisine. This recipe is a basic building block, so it’s up to each individual to add their own ingredients. – Finely chop the onion, cut the Maultaschen into thin (but not too thin) slices, and slice the mozzarella. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the chopped onions to the pan and fry until translucent or browned (but not too brown/black!). Once the onions are nicely sizzling, add the Maultaschen slices and stir frequently. After about 2 minutes, arrange the mozzarella slices on top of the Maultaschen. Stir frequently, making sure nothing burns. Then (depending on your preference and appearance), the Maultaschen are ready. Serving suggestion: with ketchup, of course; pickles on the side are delicious.
