Carrot vegetables mixed together according to Grandma's recipe

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g carrot(s)
  • 750 g potatoes
  • 2 sausages (Mettwurst)
  • 1 vegetable onion(s)
  • 1 package of bacon, diced
  • Honey
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Sugar
  • some butter
  • Water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel and slice the carrots. Boil them in a little water with a pierced Mettwurst sausage, salt, and sugar until tender (approx. 20 minutes). Peel and wash the potatoes, dice them, and boil them until soft. Mash and mix. Add the butter. Fry the bacon until crispy, then sauté the diced onions in the frying fat until translucent. Mix them into the mixture. Season to taste with about 1 tablespoon of honey and the spices. Slice the 2 Mettwurst sausages and mix in. This goes great with gravy or roast pork.
