Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter or margarine
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g flour
  • 50 g starch flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ lemon(s), grated peel
  • 500 g apples (e.g. Cox Orange)
  • 50 g walnuts, shelled and halved
  • Sugar, for sprinkling (if desired)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cream the butter with sugar and 1 egg until fluffy, then alternately stir in the flour and cornstarch mixed with baking powder, followed by the second egg. Pour the batter into a greased springform pan and top with the sliced ​​apple halves, convex side up. Bake the cake for 10 minutes at 180°C (preheated oven), then place the halved walnuts on top, also convex side up. Finish baking the cake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes.
