Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 2 kg potatoes
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 salt
  • some bacon, diced
  • 1 onion(s), diced

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel and wash the potatoes. Boil 1/3 of the potatoes, grate 2/3 raw, then squeeze the water well in a kitchen towel. Mash them with the cooked potatoes. Add the settled cornstarch. Form dumplings and let them cook in boiling(!) water for about 15-20 minutes. Then cut the dumplings into thick slices and fry them in a pan with the melted bacon and onions.
