Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • some salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 ml milk
  • 60 g butter
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • 2 onions

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

as a main course or as a side dish

Using the dough hook on a mixer, combine flour, eggs, milk, and salt to form a dough. Melt 40g of butter and fold it into the dough along with 100g of grated cheese. If it’s too soft, add a little more flour. Scoop out small dumplings with a teaspoon and let them cook in boiling salted water for 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, brown the onion rings in the remaining butter. Remove the dumplings from the water, sprinkle with the remaining cheese, and top with the roasted onions. Tastes great as a main course with salad, or as a side dish to pan-fried dishes.
