Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 140 g butter
  • 100 g almond(s), grated or ground
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 pinches of baking powder
  • powdered sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar or the pulp of a vanilla pod

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Knead the first 7 ingredients into a dough and let it rest for a few hours. Then shape into 1-1.5 cm thin rolls, cut off approximately 6 cm long pieces, and shape them into croissants. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for 10-15 minutes at 180°C. While still warm, roll in the vanilla-powdered sugar mixture. Be careful, the warm croissants break very easily!
