Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 125 g margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 150 g bacon
  • 3 rolls
  • 500 ml sweet cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 50 g butter
  • 200 g cheese (Allgäu, Emmental)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes

Make a dough from flour, margarine, 2 eggs, baking powder, and salt. Roll it out in a greased springform pan and refrigerate for one hour. Dice the bacon and fry. Thinly slice the bread rolls and cut the cheese into thin strips. Spread them alternately over the dough. Whisk the eggs with the cream and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Pour into the pan and dot with butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (top/bottom heat) for about 45 minutes.
