Vegan patty for walnut burgers
Chop the nuts and almonds in a food processor. Add the oats and nutritional yeast and blend well until the nuts are very fine and the mixture is slightly oily. Add the chopped garlic, grated vegetables, ketchup, and soy sauce and blend well until smooth. Season with salt and pepper and divide into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a flat patty and place on a baking sheet. I always line the bottom with nonstick baking paper to prevent sticking. You can also use parchment paper or grease it thoroughly. Place it at the top of the oven and preheat the grill to 200°C. When the patties are nice and crispy on top, flip them over and grill the other side until crispy. You can also eat the patties with vegetables, but the absolute hit is served on a (whole-grain) bun with vegan mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomato slices as a vegan burger.
