Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 30 g butter
- ½ onion(s)
- ½ garlic clove(s)
- 30 g Pecorino, grated
- 30 g Parmesan, grated
- 30 g cheese (cave or mountain cheese), grated
- 3 slice(s) Scheibletten (processed cheese slices)
- 100 ml cream
- 100 ml milk
- 1 tsp flour
- 2 tbsp Italian herbs
- ½ tsp vegetable stock powder
- ½ tsp Fondor
- 1 tbsp sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
similar to the ready-made sauces sold with pasta
Finely chop the onion and garlic and sauté in the butter. Stir in the flour and deglaze with the milk. Then add the cream, the cheeses, and the herbs and bring to a boil. Season with broth, Fondor, and sugar. Notes: Also delicious with other cheeses. I made this sauce because I wanted to eat pasta like I did when I was a child. Back then, Aldi had a ready-made meal called Carlini with a cheese and herb sauce. These pasta dishes are no longer available at Aldi.
