Feta cheese with tomatoes from the oven

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 feta cheese or other sheep cheese as desired
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Herbs, as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the feta cheese into 3 thin slices. Thinly slice the tomatoes and onions. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Mix the garlic with the oil and herbs and season with salt and pepper to taste. Place each feta cheese slice on a piece of baking paper, layering the tomatoes and onions nicely on top. Drizzle the oil mixture over the slices, making sure to include the garlic. Wrap the slices in the baking paper so that the liquid doesn’t run out, then place the slices in an oven preheated to 180°C. Bake for about 20 minutes, checking occasionally whether the cheese has melted by pressing it. The cheese shouldn’t be completely melted; it should retain its shape.
