Pasta with mild tomato sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 ml whipped cream
  • 3 m.-large tomato(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • oregano
  • basil
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • 200 g pasta
  • salt water

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water as usual. Dice the onions and fry until translucent. Halve the tomatoes, squeeze the liquid over the onions, and add the cream. Simmer over medium heat until the sauce reaches the desired thickness. Finely chop the leftover tomatoes and add them to the sauce. If you don’t like tomato skin, simply peel them off first. Finally, season the sauce well with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and oregano. Season with basil and paprika to taste. For me, the pasta and sauce are ready at about the same time if I put the pasta water on while the onions are frying.
