Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 cup buckwheat, whole (hulled)
- 2 cups water
- ½ cup dried fruits and nuts (trail mix)
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar or more
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- maple syrup
- Soy yogurt (yogurt alternative)
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
a recipe for a 2.4 l crock pot/slow cooker
Rinse the buckwheat in a sieve with clean water. Add it to the ceramic insert of the crock pot along with the water, trail mix, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon. Mix the ingredients briefly and cover. Cook on HIGH until the buckwheat has completely absorbed the water. To serve, serve the cereal while still warm, drizzle with maple syrup, and enjoy with soy yogurt. Note: This cereal is not suitable for children due to the slightly bitter taste of the buckwheat. One cup is approximately 150 ml.
