Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 packet of yeast (dry yeast)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 450 g flour
  • Sesame seeds for sprinkling
  • some water for brushing

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Mix the water, yeast, salt, and flour and knead thoroughly. Let rise for about 45 minutes. Form the dough into 10 round, flat pieces, approximately 0.5 cm thick, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let rise for 5 minutes, then brush each roll with a little water and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 225°C for about 10 minutes (until the pita breads have a nice brown color). Serve immediately or store in a plastic bag (or regular grocery bag) once cooled. Serve with beetroot salad, beef liver pâté, or hummus.
