Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1.2 kg potatoes, waxy
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • Sea salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel the potatoes, rinse them briefly, and place them in a pot of water. Then cut the potatoes into 1-centimeter-thick slices, then cut them into 1-centimeter-wide sticks. Return the potato sticks to the pot of water. In another pot, bring about 1 liter of water to a boil, add 2 teaspoons of sea salt, and blanch the raw fries in the salted water for 2 minutes. Drain the blanched potatoes in a sieve, rinse briefly with cold water, and let them drain. Then place the potato sticks on a clean kitchen towel and dry thoroughly. Fry the potatoes in an air fryer with 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil according to the instructions. Serve the finished fries immediately and season with a little salt.
