Pizza rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • Dough (ready-made pizza dough, rectangular)
  • 1 can of tomato(s), pureed or pizza sauce
  • 100 g ham / salami
  • 1 ball(s) of mozzarella
  • Spices)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Spread the pizza dough with tomato sauce. Spread the ham and salami on top. Grate the mozzarella and place it on the dough. Roll it up into a roulade using the wide side. Using a sharp knife, cut approximately 3cm slices and place them on a baking sheet (please only use baking paper underneath; the snails will stick to aluminum foil). If the snails fall apart—no problem—just put them back on. Bake at 180°C for about 10 minutes. If you want a different topping, e.g., vegetarian or with extra olives, chop the ingredients into small pieces and let them drain well. Instead of mozzarella, you can also use feta cheese or Gorgonzola, depending on your taste. I always make these pizza snails for children’s birthday parties. The kids can hold them comfortably, and there’s no mess. Plus, they’re gone in a flash!
