low-fat / crispy / simply delicious

Peel the potatoes and place them in cold, salted water. Once boiling, reduce the heat and boil for 5 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly. Then cut the potatoes into pieces. Preheat the oven to 190°C. Lightly oil a baking tray with 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the paprika to the remaining oil and brush the seasoned oil over the fries. Place the fries in the oven and bake for 35-45 minutes, until golden brown, turning 2-3 times during the cooking time. Place kitchen paper in a bowl and add the fries to absorb any excess fat. Important: only add salt once the fries are on the plate. Pre-cooking is necessary to ensure crispiness. Otherwise, the starch in the fries can leave them floury on the inside.
