Fluffy sheep cheese – peppers on tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 red bell peppers
  • 250 g feta cheese, mild
  • 250 g sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • some pepper
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 can/n tomatoes, chunky
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion(s)
  • some Tabasco
  • some thyme
  • some oregano
  • 1 tbsp oil (olive oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat oven to 200°C. Remove the tops from the peppers and hollow them out. Cut the feta into pieces and mash finely with a fork. Mix well with the sour cream, eggs, pepper, and cornstarch in a mixer. Fill the hollowed-out peppers with the thin mixture, place them in a dish, and bake in the oven for about 50 minutes. For the tomato sauce, finely chop the onion and brown it in olive oil. Crush the garlic cloves and add them. Add the tomatoes and simmer everything on low heat for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Finally, season with Tabasco, thyme, and oregano. When the filling in the peppers has set, serve with the tomato sauce. Serve with rice or flatbread.
