Sausage salad with honey and mustard

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 400 g poultry sausage
  • 100 g gherkins, finely chopped
  • 100 g shallot(s), finely diced
  • 1 garlic clove(s), finely diced
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp, heaped honey, spicy
  • 1 bunch dill, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp, heaped mustard, sweet
  • 1 tbsp, heaped Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp, heaped creamed horseradish
  • 2 tbsp cucumber juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Peel and finely dice the shallots and garlic clove, and sauté them in the oil until translucent. Add the honey and caramelize slightly. Let everything cool briefly. Mix the dressing ingredients together in a bowl. Finally, add all the prepared chopped ingredients and fold in with a kitchen spoon. Before serving, the salad should be refrigerated for about 1-2 hours. This allows the flavors of the ingredients to develop evenly. Since the individual components are already well-seasoned, this salad requires no additional seasoning.
