Marinated feta cheese

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 small onions
  • 2 chili peppers, fresh red
  • 500 ml olive oil
  • 500 g sheep’s cheese
  • 1 sprig(s) of thyme
  • 1 sprig(s) rosemary
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp pepper, whole grains, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 3 days; Total time approx. 3 days 15 minutes

Peel and slice the garlic cloves and onions. Cut the chilies lengthwise, deseed and wash, then dice. Dice the cheese. Rinse the herb sprigs and pat dry. Layer all ingredients except the olive oil in a jar, pour the olive oil over them, and let it sit for at least 3 days. The marinade doesn’t need to be discarded; it’s great for salad dressings or marinating meat.
