Baked Taco Salad

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 head of iceberg lettuce
  • 6 tomatoes, diced
  • 400 g minced meat
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 150g tacos
  • 500 ml sauce (salsa)
  • 200 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 2 cups of crème fraîche
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

ideal as a party salad or side dish for barbecue

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Brown the ground beef in a pan with oil and season to taste. In a casserole dish, first layer the shredded and trimmed lettuce, then the tomatoes, then the diced onions. Next, add the tacos (you may want to crush them in the unopened package first), followed by the seared beef. Spread the salsa sauce over the lettuce. Spread the crème fraîche over the lettuce. Finally, sprinkle with cheese. Bake for about 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted. The salad is included as a side dish!
