Brussels sprouts Asian style

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 750 g Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 handful of cashews
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • some sesame

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Clean and halve the Brussels sprouts. Toss the sprouts in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of sesame oil. Spread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (fan/convection oven) for about 20 minutes on the middle rack. Chop the cashews and roast them in a dry pan. Mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sweet chili sauce, agave syrup, and crushed garlic to make a seasoning sauce. Add the baked Brussels sprouts and the sauce to the cashews in the pan and cook for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds to finish.
